Changes in Drivers Licensing

10/1/2010 12:00:00 PM

Since the launch of version 9.0 of the product, drivers have become licensed individually.

Until version 8.04 of TAS-HMITalk (now just HMITalk), the complete set of drivers were included with every license of HMITalk.

Licensing were based on the number of HMITalk object instances that could be used in applications.

In version 9.0 and later, both NetTalk and HMITalk have no limitations in the number of instances and can operate completely unlimited.

However, this version no longer ships with all the drivers available but the user now takes a license of each driver he needs.

Each driver is now delivered individually with its own manual and all components and tools available.

The license owner can use the new MakeLic.exe tool to unlimitedly generate runtime licenses for the end-user target machines that he chooses.
